THE STAY

An hour upriver from Porto along the Douro is the former bakery that has been lovingly converted into a modern five room guest house. The rooms with double beds and seating are simply and stylishly furnished, flooded with light thanks to large windows and all have their own bathroom. The center of the house is the large living room with open kitchen, in which we prepare two meals a day for you and with you, as well as the large dining table where we can all find space. From the living room you have direct access to the outdoor area of the house, which borders the 4.5 hectare freely accessible forest property. Just a few minutes' drive away, there are numerous opportunities to enjoy a break in nature with waterfalls, rivers or hiking trails.

HOW TO GET THERE

The accommodation is located in the beautiful serene Douro Valley. Nestled in nature, forests and waterfalls. Just a 90 min drive by car from Aveiro, or a 50 min train ride from Porto takes you right to the Retreat House.
